Rochelle Ellar (She/They)

Rochelle Ellar, Remaining is a Canadian-Caribbean Black, femme, queer, and neurodivergent artist. They are a founding member of the theatre collective “The Madville Collective”. Rochelle’s work challenges Western ideologies, exploring them through different styles, structures, and frameworks. After completing an Honours BA in English and Theatre Studies at the University of Guelph, she pursued additional training with Generator, Buddies in Bad Times, b current, Nightwood, and many others. Rochelle is a member of Workman Arts, and her Installation/Digital Media piece Queen Latifah Give Me Strength, was featured in their Rendezvous With Madness Festival. She was also the Director for the workshop production Passport to Madville produced at Workman Arts. Their play Bertha Mason was involved in the Paprika Theatre Festival.
